Seller terms:
- Introduction;
AUCKLAND SHIPBROKERS LIMITED as sole contracted brokers to the New Zealand Defence Force is proud to present the opportunity to purchase the Royal New Zealand Navy's principle research ship Resolution. The Resolution is to be decommissioned from active service in late April 2012 and Auckland Shipbrokers Limited has been instructed to offer this vessel for sale by negotiated private treaty.
As the RNZN's principal survey and research ship, Resolution has fulfilled a number of roles but was principally used to survey and chart the waters in and around New Zealand and in the South West Pacific. Though originally designed as an oceangoing submarine surveillance ship (quiet ship) for the United States Navy, she has proven to be an equally effective general survey platform and her commercial applications are obvious. This former Stalwart Class (T-AGOS) ship is one of 18 built most of which have gone onto perform successful alternate roles both commercially and with in other navies and government departments around the world.
This is a unique opportunity to purchase an Ex naval ship with a comprehensive maintenance history, Lloyds Register classification and SOLAS compliance.
Suggested uses are:
Hydrograhic/Oceanographic/Seismic Research Ship • Diving Platform • R.O.V. Platform • Supply Vessel/Tender • Expedition Yacht Conversion • Maritime Training Ship • Inter Island Cargo/Passenger Ship • Remote Location Floating Accommodation
